Gas Explosion

I have been involved in gas explosion litigation, it is a very technical area of law. There are aspects of gas explosion cases that require experts to give ratios of content of chemicals, dissipation rates, and many other complex ares of chemistry and its principles. I am able to work with experts to get a better understanding of the chemical principles that are involved in the explosion, and what led up to the explosion, it is from this point that a case can be properly presented to claims adjusters, attorneys and juries. It is the basis for a strong case.

The injuries involved usually are severe burns, unfortunately it is important to document the client’s painful recovery to properly prepare the case. It is very important to have pictures to demonstrate the recovery that one goes through in a gas explosion case. I have used professional photography in some of my burn cases to demonstrate the initial burns, all the way up through the recovery stage including surgery.  The injuries from a severe burn continue well after the final surgery, many times the result is the client can no longer tolerate the sun or the cold weather and loses the ability to sweat at areas of the body where the burns occurred. The client usually incurred some breathing issues due to the induction of smoke and flames into the lungs.

The medical bills are generally quite large in severe burn cases, a severe burn from an explosion in Tennessee can easily exceed one million dollars.  The many consequences of such high medical bills generally results in liens being filed by hospitals, medical doctor groups, insurance companies, just to name a few. The complexity of the medical billing is quite extreme in severe burn cases. It is part of my job as your attorney to try and work out your medical bills and insurance subrogation issues, so as to relieve you of this burden while you are recovering. Sometimes medical providers and insurance companies will work with me to lower your amount owed in these catastrophic cases.

In these cases I consult with doctors, nurses who have worked with burn patients, experts in gas explosions, and other experts who can help with your case. I value the opinion of physicians and nurses who can give some  insight into your condition both now, and long term.
